Daily Routine
9.00
Welcome and self-registration
9.15-9.30
Carpet time: Focus teaching input based around our kindness code, maths & our Theme (eg: space).
9.30-11.45
Children independently explore a range of activities across all areas of learning. Children participate in one teacher-led activity during this session. During this time, children also have free-flow access to our outdoor area which includes water & sand play, a mud kitchen, a garden where we grow many of our snacks and a climbing frame. Snack is provided throughout this session as a "self-service" cafe. We plan the independent and adult-led activities on children's interests and next steps for learning. We believe that children learn the most when they are having fun and enjoying themselves! We work hard to ensure our environment reflects our children's changing needs and interests on a daily basis.
11.45-12.00
Interactive phonics teaching and games in small groups. During this time we also invite children to share their experiences with Mr Puddleduck, our class duck who visits children at home each day.
12.00
Morning children are collected. Children staying all day have their packed lunch.
Afternoon session runs with the same routine as the morning.
